THE KANSAS CITY STAR

Internship Summer 2023

During the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to work as a breaking news intern for the Kansas City Star. Some of my responsibilities at the Star included reporting, and interviewing sources for stories. I was able to go out to crime scenes to capture images and videos for my news team. While reporting was a central focus of the internship making community connections was another huge point in story success, and gathering information. Below are a few stories I wrote at the Star, in total I wrote over 15 stories.
