MANHAPPENIN' MAGAZINE STAFF WRITER | ASSISTANT EDITOR IN CHEIF
As a staff writer for the Manhappenin' I pitch several story ideas for our publications online website. These stories can be about just anything. However, there is a focus on lifestyle and fashion because that is the theme of the publication. The magazine also has a print edition which I have stories I am assigned which I do the same as online and focus the stories on fashion and culture.

THE COLLEGIAN - ARTS AND CULTURE STUDENT WRITER
Being that I am a student writer the stories I write are a smaller amount than at the magazine. These stories differ from some I write for the magazine because it is more news reporting. There are some similarities however differences as well. In this position I not only write but conduct and set-up interviews with students, faculty and locals.

Approve stories from other writers on staff to ensure stories follow the local beat. Record daily newscasts in Adobe Audition for consumers tuning into live broadcasts. Utilize NextGen software to organize schedules for newscasts and weather updates. Recommend stories to the assistant director for research and development for local audiences. Operate the radio board to control audio levels during recordings. Ensure all staff members adhere to ethical and legal standards through source checking and editing.

Working at the station I am in charge of handling any promotions on the station. These task include creating social media content and posting for our socials. Setting up on-air interviews and talent, and writing press releases for station.
