About Me
My name is Breanna Palmer, and I was born and raised in Junction City, Kansas, a small yet diverse community shaped by a nearby military installation. This environment sparked my early curiosity about the world and its cultures.
In high school, my passion for photography led me to mass media and journalism. An internship at The Daily Union introduced me to the rigorous process of reporting, from conducting interviews to mastering AP style, and gave me my first bylines. This experience ignited my passion for storytelling.
At Kansas State University, I expanded my skills by producing a documentary on food disparity, contributing to campus publications, and exploring broadcasting. I hosted and co-hosted shows on Wildcat 91.9, including one on Black history, and served as News Director during the 2023-2024 school year. Through these roles, I developed expertise in audio, video, and print storytelling.
Now pursuing a master’s degree in Public Relations, I am combining my journalism background with strategic communication, continuing to explore storytelling’s impact across diverse platforms.
